The Board has extended the concept of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in class IX with effect from October 2009 to be continued in class X for the year 2010-11 onwards.
For this purpose syllabus has been split up over two terms. Each term will have two formative tests of 10% weightage each and one summative test of weightage 20% and 40 % respectively.
Total 40% of syllabus will be covered in first term in form of two formative assessments and one summative assessment.
The rest 60% of the syllabus will be taken in second term in form of two formative and one summative assessment.
CCE is implemented in second term of class 9 this year. The first examination under the new CCE scheme will be conducted in March 2010 for class 9.
